New Best Friend

Yesterday K decided that she would have a good time coloring with blue crayon on the walls. No big deal, right? Wrong. See, we're staying in a place that we're renting, and the walls are painted in white, flat paint. This is the exact reason I don't paint with white or flat paint, so I don't have to stress about how to get crayon, marker, pen, etc off of the walls. I did a little research online and found that someone suggested using a baking soda paste and a toothbrush. So, off I went to find baking soda. After a little bit of water, some baking soda and some elbow grease, the white flat walls no longer have blue crayon all over them.

Hence, I have a new best friend. Baking Soda. Who knew it could be used for so many useful things. I, personally, was really impressed. I think I will be trying that cheap, fast remedy a little more often.

Baking soda is also good to help whiten whites in the washer. :o)

Another solution is the Mr. Clean Magic erasers. They take crayon off with almost no effort. I love them.

I love baking soda for so many thing - cleaning off the burners on the stove, getting that brown out of crock pot when you cook beans, cleaning out otilets, taking the smell out of mattresses, carpets, trashes, etc, you can go on arm and hammer's website and find out ways to use it for every part of your house - its amazing stuff - cheap and environmentally friendly!

Wow, that is amazing. I have never heard of that. I'm sure I will definately be using that in the future. I just hope when the time comes I will smile and not get mad. :)
