Tonight was the Father/Son Campout for our stake. So, Drew took C camping. K and I stayed home and had a "girlie night." We ate macaroni and cheese (K's favorite) then watched Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses. I pulled out the foot spa and let her use it, we painted nails and stayed up late. I can't tell you how much fun we have had and how much I love that little girl!

Entertaining Each Other
Tonight as I sat for a few minutes on the couch, I watched in amazement as my 3 year old entertained her almost 1 year old brother. E was sitting in his high chair eating and K kept running up to him from the family room and saying, "I'm gonna get ya, I'm gonna get ya." E would laugh and giggle when she got close. She would back up and he would laugh and giggle before she even started. This process went on and on for about 10 minutes. I am so glad that she truly loves her little brother and he obviously adores her and everything that she does to entertain him. These are the moments I want to remember in 5 years. It makes me proud to be their momma.

Happy Mother's Day!
I heard this song this morning and really actually listened to the words. I know that this is the case with my wife, Jana, and I imagine it is true for many others. We see the screw-ups in ourselves pretty clearly, and we can remember them forever. It’s the everyday, just regular good stuff about ourselves that we don’t recognize.
For all of those “soccer moms” out there, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
